Door to Door Organics deliver healthy, organic meal kits straight to the customers’ door.
After creating a moodboard or similar, the logo is very often a natural place to start in order to figure out the visual direction. The Door to Door Organics logo began as simple handdrawn sketches. I knew I wanted an organic style due to the nature of the business, and experimented with some simple text based logos as well as including an icon.
Living right opposite of a farm with Scottish highland cattle, I took inspiration from them, and based the icon on these animals.
After digitising my favourite concepts, I was instantly left with one favourite. This logo is a bit playful, it’s cute and it perfectly portrays the cattle – and it definitely speaks to the target audience (later confirmed by my young nephew at 7).
Defining the visual direction
Creating the brand
With the logo in place, I identified a colour palette focused on nature colours, and found a soft font.
Creating a set of guidelines, I put these into an accessible brand guide.
Creating the brand
Building the assets
Among the materials created were the actual food boxes and the vehicle wrap.
The food boxes differ depending on the size of the family, and branded vehicles was essential as it is indeed a “door to door” concept. As the vans are operating and in traffic anyway, it would be a missed opportunity not to advertise during delivery.
