Our little 1-year anniversary

It’s been a full year since Healthy Pixels first launched. Today, we reflect on the good, the bad and the changes within the business.

The little 1-year anniversary

One year ago, Healthy Pixels had its first official day as founder Monika reduced her hours at her regular day job to get her own business up and running. As most startups, the first year has been full of ups and downs, just as you’d expect.

The good

Starting on a high note, the first year has been full of growth and learning opportunities, as well as new partnerships and friendships. Teaming up with other professionals means that our clients now can benefit from even better and more broad services, through our partnerships with other professionals – including SEO, PPC and managed IT. Building a network with more business support and friendships has also been an incredible opportunity.

The bad

Can’t have a full year without any downs, right? Especially not a ‘first year in business’. But rather than calling it bad, we’ll refer to it as lessons learnt. These lessons have refined the Healthy Pixels model, improved contracts (for the benefit of both/all parties involved), and possibly also just put some naivety to rest.

The changes

When Healthy Pixels first launched, the sole focus was charitable causes: supporting non-profits with their brands and online presence. This has led to some incredible opportunities, and built relationships with amazing charities such as Bright Paths, Speed of Sight and IAM Road Smart, but they are no longer the main target audience.

Instead, Healthy Pixels now supports all small to medium sized businesses (including, of course, any non-profits), regardless of their industry. We’re focusing more and more on websites, evident through a new service offer that will be launching in a few weeks, but will keep supporting with consistent and effective identity building.

The second year

One year ago, it would have been impossible to guess where this first year of business would lead. And it’s safe to assume, the second year will be the same. Business goals are in place, of course, but for our clients, it primarily boils down to:

  • Launching a new website service offer shortly
  • Providing a more holistic digital marketing service through partnerships

And of course, staying up to date with trends and technology to ensure you won’t be left behind.

Closing thoughts

Hitting the 1-year mark is exciting and gives so much hope for the future. It’ll be so exciting to see what the next year will bring, both in terms of ups but also the lessons to be learnt.

If you are looking for support with your website, brand or general identity building, and want to work with an agency that truly puts you as the client at the heart of every decision, get in touch today. It’d be great to have a chat to better understand your business and needs – this call would be no obligation or cost, of course.
