Background

Healthy Pixels was introduced to GMCNA in March 2025, when they were looking for a brand-new website. Their existing site had been a free, template-based setup provided via England Netball’s Engage platform.

While it did its job for a while, they were struggling to keep the site updated, and it lacked the county’s personality and energy. Many of the pages and templates were too restricted, leaving the site with empty sections and out-of-date content—including references to COVID-19 restrictions.

Solution

Rather than trying to patch up the old site, we decided to start fresh. We mapped out a clear, user-friendly site structure with intuitive navigation and focused content.

We gave the site a stronger sense of personality, weaving in subtle shapes inspired by the logo and graphics tied to netball. A lot of time went into sourcing high-quality photography that better captured the spirit of the game, with fallback placeholders to simplify maintenance.

The result

The new GMCNA website is modern, bold, and full of life, just like netball itself.

We removed the rigid templates: The team can now update and manage everything through a simple, intuitive editor, with the option to add and place sections as they wish.

Visually, the site has personality in spades. Its high-contrast, edgy design mirrors the fast pace and sharp movements of the game, giving visitors an experience that feels dynamic and exciting rather than flat and functional.

Just before launch, the client shared:

“I really like the work and will definitely be recommending you to others, so thank you.”

This project gave GMCNA a platform that feels true to the sport they love: agile, powerful, and impossible to ignore.
