Like many startups, Peoplejelly tried to save money by DIY-building their website, using the limited web builder that came with their hosting provider.
But they were unhappy with the content, the design and look and feel, and the poor mobile experience. Worst of all, updating content was a painful, drawn-out process. Certain changes (such as updating accordions or images) had to be handled by the host’s support team, which could delay updates for 2-4 weeks (!).
While it served the most basic purpose, it never truly captured the brand or conveyed what Peoplejelly could offer its clients.
Eventually, they pulled it down altogether and stopped marketing. They knew the site reflected badly on them, and the risk of losing potential clients far outweighed the benefit of having it live.
After a couple of chats, it was clear that RentaSite would be the perfect fit: a flexible, professional solution for a growing company still shaping its identity.
We followed a simple, collaborative process:
The process was seamless, with the founder later describing it as:
“A really speedy build that got me live faster than I imagined.”
From feeling embarrassed by their old site to proudly announcing the launch of the new one on LinkedIn; the launch speaks volumes. After months of silence, they finally had a digital presence they could stand behind.
The founder has shared how much they valued:
The result is a website that serves its visitors better, speaks plainly about what Peoplejelly does, and feels genuinely aligned with the brand and its clients.
And beyond function, the design is fun—playful shapes and elements inspired by the logo are sprinkled across the site, adding personality in a way only a custom build can.
Some projects are a joy from start to finish. This was one of them.
